Many years ago, an aunt of mine shared her delicious recipe for these cookies with my mom. It has always been one of our family favorites. Over time, my twist to the original has been to modify the ingredients in an attempt to create a healthier version...at least as healthy as chocolatey, sugary goodness can be.

Hopefully, you can see from the cookie in the photo, we make our cookies chewy...but if you prefer crisp, we can do that as well. Cookies are about 4 inches in diameter.

The list price above is for our traditional version including white flour, white sugar, eggs and semi-sweet chips. For alternative versions, see prices listed below.

Traditional cookie recipe = $6.00 per dozen
All organic (with unbleached white wheat flour) = $10.00 per dozen

Traditional Spelt flour recipe = $8.00 per dozen
Vegan Spelt flour recipe (almost all organic ingredients, including organic Sucanat) = $12.00 per dozen
